About Us

Several area Emergency Medical Service (EMS) physician medical directors informally created the EMSMDCCV in June of 2016. The intent was to share medical director duties as required by Iowa Code 641—132.3(2). On October 30, 2020, the organization was formally registered as a 501(c)(3). The initial voting body consisted of four medical directors and three EMS representatives. The organization has expanded to represent additional EMS responder organizations in several Iowa counties.
